The duties and responsibilities of the CAD Design and Planning Engineer (Mining) will include but not be limited to:
A proficient CAD Design Engineer who can design and implements shaft sinking with mechanised SBR technology.
To produce construction methods based on design.
Maintains high level expertise in shaft sinking, tunnelling or mining sectors.
Develops solutions to engineering and other field related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.
Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and requests for information from the wider Engineering Team.
Maintain Project As-Built drawings. Be proficient in design modifications and able to design structures, supports etc
Ensures compliance with job specifications.
Health and Safety: Having the authority and responsibility to stop and correct, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor .
Be responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment, i.e. Lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to company rules and applicable legislation. Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.
The candidate we are looking for :
Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
Must be a high level and competent user of MS project, P6 Primavera, MS office, AutoCAD, 3D-Cad, Excel etc (to note CAD Design is a major part of this position).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Data analytics skills and experience.
The ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential.
Please note the role is subject to a medical so must be physically fit and ability to pass a safety critical medical and drugs and alcohol screening.
Role is Mon - Friday 50 hours per week working either 0600-16.00 or 07:00 - 17.00.

Duties involve:
Maintain, fault find, PPMs and repairing electrical systems across heavy industrial sites.
Work with MCCs, conveyors, motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
Carry out fault-finding, testing, and inspections to ensure compliance.
Role can be based Rotherham or Mold / Chester area with nationwide travel on other projects as required and therefore must be able to lodge away (80% of work can be Nationwide).
What We’re Looking For
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Electricians who have worked on aggregates, mining, materials handling, steel, oil/gas or similar heavy industry are preferred
• Knowledge of control systems, motors, and PLCs (advantageous but not essential).
• A commitment to safe working practices.
• Full UK clean driving licence.

Our client is seeking a QC Officer, Based North Yorkshire, Permanent role. Calling all QA/QC officers with a mechanical and civils background, ideally in a heavy industry such as mining, heavy civils, oil & gas or similar. My client a leading Mining project in North Yorkshire are seeking a Mechanical QA/QC for their mine.
Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards.
Performing inspection and testing activities of incoming materials and finished products in accordance with company procedures to determine that they meet a certain standard.
Perform an inspection of precision components and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications - visual inspection of products before and after operations are completed and detect any non-conformances or non-compliant parts.
Filling out and maintaining proper paperwork.
To collate and build handover document files and quality reports as per client requirements.
Questioning the nature of defects and providing future solutions.
Comparing finished products to original patents.
Ensure the adherence of all policies and procedures concerning quality are maintained and report all non-conformances to the QC Superintendent.
Perform inspections of precision components and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications using tools such as callipers, and gauges -visual inspection of products before and after operations are completed and detect any non-conformances or non-compliant parts.
Effectively communicate quality issues to the QC Superintendent for immediate correction to ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
Adhere to all quality and regulatory compliance procedures.
Conduct external supplier audits.
Ensures compliance with job specifications, working with specifications for mechanical equipment and materials.
Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements by preparing mechanical/electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or technical maps.
Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations, and working on checking diagrams, and schemes.
Candidate must have a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
Experience of Quality Assurance and ideally hold ISO9001 Lead Auditor Qualification
Mining, Tunnelling, Civils or rail background would be an advantage
Must be fit and well and the ability to pass a safety critical medical and D&A tests.
There are two roles available
One role is working on a 8 days on, 6 days off rota. This equates to average hours of 44 hours per week over the year. Mechanical biased role is Mon - Friday 50 hours per week Accommodation is provided whilst on duty for those who live more than 1 hour commute away from Whitby!
The Senior Training & Competency Facilitator is to establish the training needs of the operational teams as a priority and to develop, implement, train and audit industry leading training and competency plans to ensure office and field personnel meet all Company, Client and legislative requirements.

Develop Competence maps for all workstreams and levels to define the required standards and maintain the Competence Management System

Schedule training programs that meet operational delivery plans and have minimum impact on operating performance
Ensure that training aligns with the company Safety Program and conducts Training Audits at projects, offices and in the workplace.
Design, revise and assist with the administration and auditing of training programs
Support and 3rd party Training & Competency Facilitators on behalf of the Training & Competency Manager.
Advise senior management on matters relating to training
Maintain confidentiality with respect to company and client information
